"This is my first time. How long should the hair be?"
1/4 of an inch long or 2 weeks worth of hair growth from your last shave or 3 weeks from your last waxing session.
"What should I do to prepare for my wax?"
Gently exfoliate the skin 2 days before your appointment for bests results. **NEVER THE DAY OF** Take a shower with warm water to open up the pores.
"Does it hurt?"
Pain level varies from person to person. After your 1st session and staying on a 4 week waxing schedule while exfoliating in between, the discomfort level will be less each time.
"How often should I wax?"
Face/Underarms- every 2-3 weeks, Bikini area/Body- every 4 weeks.
"Will my skin get irritated after waxing?"
Avoid touching the area for at least 24 hours. Irritation can happen depending on the person, but please make sure you follow the after care instructions given to you by your wax specialist.
"Can I wax while I am on my menstrual cycle?"
Even though you may be more sensitive during this time, you may wax during your menstrual. Please place a new tampon/ menstrual cup in right before your appointment.
"Can I wax while I am pregnant?"
Yes, waxing is safe during pregnancy. If you have any other concerns, please consult with your doctor first.
"Can I wax while I am on acne medications or an acne prescription cream?"
Lifting the skin or a burn can occur if on these medications. DISCONTINUE USE 7 DAYS BEFORE AND AFTER WAXING OF THE FOLLOWING: Retin-A, Adapalene, Alustra Avage,Avita, Differin, Duac, Epiduo, Isotretinoin, Renova, Tazarac, Tazarotene, Tretinoin, Ziana, Adapalene, Alustra Avage, Avita, Differin, Duac, Epiduo, Isotretinoin, Renova, Retin A, Tazarac, Tazarotene, Tretinoin, Ziana. STOP USING 1 YEAR PRIOR TO WAXING: Accutane and can only be waxed with a doctors note. If you are on any of these medications/creams and are still unsure, please consult with your Dermatologist before your wax services.
